Description
Edible Mealworms
Mealworms have a subtle umami flavor that leaves a light, nutty aftertaste. They go well with more or less everything.
You can use either whole or ground mealworms to add protein and a sense of adventure to your dishes. Try roasted, freeze-dried mealworms, or buy them frozen and pan-fry them.
You can serve mealworms using almost any cooking technique, whether it’s frying, roasting, or searing them. You can cook and eat them exactly how you want. Because of this, you can toss them in salads, on top of tacos, or pop them in your mouth as a snack.
The mild and nutty flavor of mealworms goes well with bread, meatballs, tacos, hamburgers, spaghetti, caramels, lollipops, paellas, pizza, chocolate, cookies, etc. You can throw them in salads, toss them on tacos, or eat them as snacks. The internet is full of recipes for cooking with mealworms.
